Newfane NY
I have been thinking about this for awhile. "Here" what is done is if you want a trees out or trimmed you do it yourself and do not ask the neighbor or landlord if they will share in the work or cost. Doing it this way we have never hand anyone say "no". Got a ditch being cleaned now next to an apple farmer. He gives us some bare land and we pay the rent with lime and ditch cleaning. Works good for us and him.

I can not believe some of the comments on here about how cheap some farmers are by wanting the landlord and neighbors to pay for improvements of the farmers land. It just blows my mind. Theres $6 corn guys, just do it. Then it will be done and paid for when corn drops to $4.
