Up north the corn is not near ready yet. We don't combine dry corn even when it is the end of november. Our average first snow fall here is like November 6-8. Corn can stand after a snow, beans not so much. Beans are not ready until into October so it gives us about 3-4 weeks before it snows for the first time. We average year in and year out drying about half our beans as well.
