If you want a real " eye opener " pay the bucks and grid sample a field that has varied production. We tend towards doing this when we pickup "new " ground to level the playing field so to speak. It is nice when buying expensive product to start out with it where it needs to be. You will be amazed to see where the "path or least resistance" was for a manure spreader 50 years ago.
