Yes equipment helps make the decision. Cheapest and best is interplanter notill with radishes and peas or similar. If it's not available, drill will do. Drill best for fall seeded covers so far for quick canopy but I haven't experimented much with the 15 inch row planter on that issue.
In other words it's time to plant radishes around here but benefits over ride cost.
