Bern, I'm ashamed to say I've never replaced the air filters on my 9600 that I've owned for over 10 years. Never even had the outer filter out to inspect or clean. My tractor does have a filter indicator but I really don't trust it.

I do have a new inner and outer filter on hand and intend to replace both regardless of what I find. Just haven't got 'round to it yet.

As a winter chore tractor, I could almost run without an air filter too.
