East-Central Ontario | I WISH they'd trim something here, they don't seem to bother outside of town anymore. Dad and I just cut two dead maples on the hydro ROW here alongside the road, one was grown up AROUND the transformer. Hydro agreed the trees were their responsibility and said they'd only cut them if they knocked the power out.
Last year a treetop fell on a line crossing the road here in a storm, ended up hanging on the line upside down right above the centre line with trucks and schoolbuses brushing it every time they went under. Hydro and the municipality argued over who was responsible for 3 months before a tall truck knocked it down for them. | |
