| V-Key, I'm not sure just where you stand on this, but anytime I see any kind of livestock being pastured, fed out naturally, and NOT confined to toght quarters, I am pleased. In all likelihood, that meat is far superior to any that was produced by confined, factory-type farms. The animals live a cleaner, happier life, too.
I really think there should be some kind of standards set for "cruelty-free" meats, eggs, dairy, etc. No, I do NOT believe any quick, humane slaughter of meat stock, is ever cruel, either. I am most certainly NOT any kind of a bunny-hugger!
If more consumers were made aware of the good ways vs the bad ways of livestock treatment, it could not only turn heads, but promote more of the right stuff to do on the part of farmers and ranchers. I don't believe most ranchers confine their stock, anyway--otherwise, it would not be much of a ranch. I suppose the confined finishing could be eliminated--and just sell off grass-fed beef. That is very, good, too.
