Aberdeen MS
anti slaughter.

Right now Mexico is putting up a plant or two just across the border. They'll buy the horses in the states.... transport for slaughter and then bring the boxed meat back into the states for export. Not illegal to export the meat from the US.... just can't kill and process here is the proposal.

The anti slaughter crowd tried last year to put an end to it by getting the USDA to cease inspections. Industry hired the inspectors then privately and everything continued business as usual.

It's basically all about using a captive bolt and then bleeding em out that has everyone anti slaughter in a tissy. Claiming inhumane treatment. They'd rather see it by chemical, but then it's not fit for human consumption. It may be anti meat deep down, but it's easier to go the inhumane route to squash the industry.
