| You are probably correct, but every time they add a regulation or requirement, it adds to your cost. Soon, it will be a limit to trailer space/animal, increasing trucking costs. Bunk space/animal. Bedding and covered shelter requirements, etc, etc. Increasing costs will decrease supplies, raise price, and decrease beef demand. If we allow them small victories without putting up a fight, they will be emboldened. New York outlawed tansfats. 10 years ago, did you think anyone would outlaw certain food classes? A beef ban is unlikely right now, but what about veal, lamb, or goat? They will keep chipping away. Sure, hardly no one in the US eats horse, but shouldn't it be their right to eat it if they want?
