I agree, I have a permit renewable every 4 years for 33 head of cattle that graze most months of the year, here in MN if you are 'too close' to a ditch or wetland you have about the same rules as many of you easterners mention already.

I've been putting in a lot of tile the past 2 years; like you say, I see that coming to an end soon - or anyhow more difficult. From last year to this year, there is already one more step, one more person to review the tile application......

The U of M, Extension, and Farm Offices are all talking up managed, gated tile setups the past 2 years. Means an extra $800 on the end of the tile line, plus slows down flow. And only really works on flat ground, which I don't have. I suspect we are getting set up for this sort of thing to be the only allowed, standard installation.
