Hanska, Minnesota
I spend alot of time running up and down hyw 60 in NW Iowa and SW Minnesota. It looks better from a car than from the cab of a Locomotive. As of yesterday there was a lot of water standing from Sibley to Alton. From there south has a few badly damaged feilds in the river bottoms. I'm very supprized more has not dround out in these areas. But earlier in the Windom area I couldn't see the water and thought they were ok. A week latter the crop fell over. Time will tell the whole story. 80% of the crop I see does look nice. It does every year. About 15% fair and 5% poor or dead. I expect slightly less yeild than last year on my own crop in Brown county, Mn based on poorer looking corn on corn vs previous years. I missed most of the big rains.
