We also need to remember that this crop was in general planted early. More often than not this equates to a pretty good sized crop. Much of the corn in the western corn belt was planted early and pollinated without excessive heat. Even though areas of the "I" states have had issues I really think the western and northern belt are going to bring this crop in over 160.
