Subject: why smaller bales make sense

Thunder Bay, Ontario, Great White North
We have an old Gehl 1465 baler, 4x5 foot bales. I can spend more time stopped than moving if I have heavy windrows. It can be very frustrating to get much hay done, but the payoff comes when we sell a few bales to the very wise horse owners who only look at the price per bale and not what each bale weighs.  Works for me.
