Ste. Rose, MB | I can't really understand why ppl want to make small bales nowadays? Like foxchopper said, with the 568 you can put 45% more hay into one bale. I think that speaks volumes by itself. And if you really want to make smaller bales, just punch in the desired size on your monitor. You can always make them smaller with a 568 but with a 558 you can never make them bigger. Out here in Western Canada, you rarely ever see something other than a 5x6 round bale. And let me tell you, big, heavy bales can be made with these balers. We sold some 2nd cut alfalfa bales this yr, made w/ 567 baler & the average weight was 2049lbs. I figured they'd be in the 1800# range but 2049, man, we were really surprised & so was the feedlot owner! I would also think that resale would be much better with a 568...but every area is different so I'm not telling you what to do, just my .02. Good luck & let us know what you decide. David |
