The biggest market for round balers is the 5' x 6' size (568) because you can put 45% more hay in a 6' diameter bale than a 5' diameter bale. This makes a big difference in the number of bales you have to handle and you also have greater productivity since you have to stop less often to wrap. You also have that much less hay exposed to the environment in the larger diameter bale, so your outdoor storage losses will be less. Those three reasons are why something like 50% of the balers sold in the US are the 5' x 6' size.
