One of my landlords used to plow with a Fordson Major Diesel and 4 bottom semi-mounted plow, then wheel track plant in the plowed ground with a Fordson Dexta and 2 row planter. I can still see where his back furrows and dead furrows were in one of his fields that I farm now that was in fescue sod for 30 years before I started no-tilling it about 9 years ago.
