Subject: 20yr. CRP???

Madison / Macoupin Co. Illinois
Does anyone have any input on bringing 20yr. CRP ground back into row crop production? There is no trees or saplings, the land has been routinely mowed. As of now we have burnt the land off. We had such a mat of old vegetation the ground would never dry out. This is gently rolling Illinois farm land 25mi. East of St. Louis, Mo. Our crops of choice are corn, soybeans, along with minimal winter wheat.
