Subject: A Replacement for Prairie Canola Trials?

St. Gregor, SK, Canada
What are all of your opinions of the removal of the PCVT? For those not familiar, they are prairie-wide trials of new canola varieties that are impartial to seed companies...

I was thinking - why don't we as farmers replace the "trials" with real-world information about the varieties we grow - compiled into a massive database that can be searched by variety and specific characteristics?

Last winter I had some time and actually created a system like this but never yet put it online - do you think there would be any interest in it now that we no longer have PCVT?
