Devils Lake, ND | Of course not. My post wasn't clear. I should have said all safe technology should be available to all people to use or not. We have had the ability to build flying cars for almost 100 years, but few people have chosen to park a Cessna in their garage. The same for the additional 70 or so units of nitrogen you are referring to.
On a side note, do you really make more money raising 35 bushel wheat over 50? That's well over $100 an acre difference. What $100 are you cutting out? I have never heard a good farmer say, "Technology X has consistently raised my yields, but I'm not going to use it because it is too expensive." Sure there are products and technologies that are advertised to raise yields, but their lack of widespread adoption has been because their benefits are dubious, unproven, or at best inconsistent. A few good examples of this are: polymer-coated urea, Headline on corn, sugar on starter, Coron, autosteer on your grain cart.
