Subject: Re: Question on counting wheat tillers for Phil Needham or others?

Martinsville, Ohio
That's a good question, my experience says 80 percent, maybe 100 in a great year?

The more the tillers the less N you need so I would think you are OK?

I would love to topdress not but I raise a different type of wheat and it is pure slop out there.

Pull a tissue test, tell the lab what you pulled and see how your fertility is. When I added boron here yields went up and there could be many more.
