It let's elevators charge for storage they don't have. It puts the farmer in a position of unsecured creditor of the elevator and he is paying them for that privilege. If it gets to the point that everyone does it you can kiss your markets goodby because basis will never improve...they won't have to bid up the price, just wait for the end if your DP contract and you will be forced to sell to them. | |
