I think there was a company a few years back that entered male sterile corn in trials.
The energy saved from not producing pollen would give it a leg up in yield.
Don't remember the details exactly, so don't want to make a issue out of it but what caught them was someone planting the left-over corn in an isolated area (food plot or something like that).
Shelled the corn plot today
