Subject: Interesting story

I grew up eating Hog Maw.  It is one of those dishes that we had on rare occassions, and we looked forward to it.

In my college days, I was dating this gal, and I am sure I talked about Hog Maw at some point, and how much I liked it.  Well, one day she decided to surprise me.  She found a recipe for Hog Maw and made it for me.  I was not impressed with it - it sure was not made the way my Mom made it.  Somehow it wasn't the same.

Some of these regional dishes can be made with variations, and I think we can get used to having it "a certain way".
