| Quite likely this bill will not be brought to the senate floor to be debated and voted on. Not long ago similar bills were passed in the house only to die on the vine because commerce chairperson Waylon Brown would not bring them up for vote. Governor Reynolds is in favor of the Summit pipeline and is heavily rumored to be influencing senate committee chairs not to allow any bills that would negatively effect the pipeline to even be considered for a vote. Everyone knows Rastetter is her largest donor so it certainly appears to be a political situation here. It is maddening to think our politicians won't even pause the permitting process when the Federal safety guidelines aren't even released yet. Safety of the public seems to be taking a backseat because certain politicians don't want the money train derailed!!! | |
