Central Iowa | I talked directly to their lobbyist earlier this month. He was a guest at a seminar hosted by my local coop. I asked him if it was true that Iowa Corn was backing the pipeline and eminent domain provision. His response was "I thought I would not get asked that today". He verified it was true and why the board thinks it's a good idea. I said I can't think any land owner would be in favor of the eminent domain clause. He said no most are not. I told him I have never asked for my money back but will be doing so from this point forward. And I believe the most impact is felt in the wallet. That usually generates the most reaction. The problem may be that if it's not in your county you can ignore it. But next time around it may very well be your or my farm.
