Your 40 X 40 shed is enough room for 20 head all the way to finished. I would suggest buying a few freestanding panels with at least one with a 16 foot gate. ( yes they will handle a 16 ft swinging gate) and maybe a 4 ft to walk through. If you have at least some of your yard cemented a few 2X2X6 cement blocks stacked up 2 or 3 high make a nice fence and a place to push manure to to fill the loader bucket. And the nice part about all the portable stuff is when you no longer want it you can probably sell it for what you paid for it.Depending on how you’re going to feed if you use fence line feeder most on here will tell you 2 foot per head but I built my setups before I found Agtalk so my poor cattle only get 7 inches of high capacity plastic lined feed bunks. But I do keep feed in them 22 hours a day. My email is in my profile if you want to get my phone number I enjoy getting young people started.... Dennis
