Old combines, Red or Green?

SW Saskatchewan		I have never owned a JD combine, even though I lust for one when it comes time to make straw for cattle. After a Massey, anything with straw walkers gives me the shivers.

Do a search on IH and JD combines to give you a clue of what people are repairing-it might give you a clue of what you want.

I have run IH since 82, I like the combines, they do have their weak spots(and the odd piece of idiot engineering) .

The larger models in both makes are worth considering-those sizes are still being made wheras the smaller sizes have been discontinued-might make part availability difference in the future.

Good luck--and plan on buying that steak dinner--an expert is always good to have!
