Do you know what size heat strips you have? 8000 watt maybe? X2 would be 16000 watts continuous if they were to run at the same time.

The chances of the AC compressor or heat strips coming back on at transfer and having to start those loads is slim. Once your T stats in the house are re energized, I’d think there’s some timers built in that need to time out before they start closing contacts in the units to start running.
