Subject: RE: Generator sizing ?

Central Mo
If it's an automatic start generator when the power goes out it will have to be sized with the possibility of everything on when it starts. If a generator u will start, then cut the kw in half. I have freezer, 2 frigs. 2 water heaters, 2 furnaces aircon along with lights and TV. I have a 10kw generator and get along fine. But I turn off both water heaters too. I did have a problem once when the 5hp air compressor in the shop "tried" to kick on, made the lights blink a little.
