Use several of the online calculators to determine how much wattage you have. When I did mine, I didn’t want to exceed 80% of rated generator output. Figured heaviest load scenario. Summer heat vs winter cold. I took that number X 1.2 and started shopping. I have 2 heat pumps with electric backup, well pump, all that stuff. I upsized 1 model based on price difference between models. Ended up with a 36KW and a 200 amp auto switch. | |
