NC IA | Doing some maintenance on my JD S660 combine. Pulled the feederhouse floor out and saw the sprockets for the feederhouse chain are starting to get hooked. Going to replace the sprockets and feederhouse chain now vs trying to get 1-2 more years out of it since I already have the floor out.
Question is this - The slats looks fine on the chain - should I consider reusing them or just go all new? Not sure how many "hours" they are supposed to last. Maybe they don't really wear out?
I'm tempted to just go all new, but I do see that there are companies offering chains only (Precision Farm Products offers a chain set) and you reuse your slats. | |
