I tore my right rotator cuff falling on the ice in my early 30's. Managed to tough it out and muddle through until my early 50's. Damaged it again, went in for surgery. Came out of surgery, the Dr said that it wasn't torn enough to repair so he just "cleaned it up". After I did my therapy, my shoulder was probably 85%, but pain free.
