There is all the way from the muscle/tendon having a small tear that will heal with therapy over time, to the muscle/tendon being actually torn away from the attachment point, therapy will do nothing for this and could actually make repair/reattachment harder.
my tear was of the later type, I actually had to have a special procedure done because mine was not able to be reattached.
2 years later I have about 85-90% of the use I had before the injury. |
