Western-Central Lower Michigan | I had the same problem, finally had some black stools. The esophagus was very irritated, and raw thus bleeding. I found this out due to an endoscopy, scope of the throat.
For those of you that have acid reflux, you should have an endoscopy and let the Surgeon figure out how bad the issue is.
Friend of mine fought the battle with acid reflux he was using rolaids many times a day. Got esophagus and stomach cancer. Died.
Things the surgeon mentioned to avoid were, chocolate, alcohol, spicy/hot food. Dont eat late and if possible eat your big meal at noon.
Im on omeprozol, and had a pre cancer condition called Barrets. I had that treated by a gastroenterologist.
