St. Gregor, SK, Canada | Canopy penetration is key here too... especially in overly weedy mustard-infested fields.
I found that with the old conventional sprayer we had, you'd kill off the canopy, and whatever is underneath (just emerging) doesn't get chem, and keeps growing requiring another pass.
With this sprayer, I hit it once, and it doesn't matter if it's got 4 leaves, or is just germinating every weed ends up dead.
I think we're going to add a standard boom to ours, with three-way nozzles. I've seen one such setup, and it would widen our application window... | |
