| I haven't tried sorghum, but I had very good results with pearl millet last year. I planted a bigger area this year and already have a good stand. I Planted it last year as an experiment on baling some, that was a waste of time. I let it head out after that cutting and put cows on it in the fall and they grazed it all winter into the spring as a decent amount reseeded and started to come up in the spring. I kept a protein tub out and supplemented with a little feed, used hardly any hay and they stayed butterball fat and slick. My plan this year is to let em graze it when it reaches boot stage then take em off and let it head out and graze it again all winter. | |
