| I have been feeding my cows nothing but sorghum Sudan for 3 years. Well I do have pastures but nothing good. Last year they grazed pastures in the summer and about August or September I put them in my SS fields since I was tired of cutting and baling. They grazed on it til mid/late December. Then got nothing but SS dry hay from then on with little pasture grazing. They began calving in November thru March. (I have bulls in year round)
I do not feed cubes or any other protein, all they get is SS. They are fat and happy.
Not sure what you mean about stock piling, but I baled a ton of sorghum Sudan hay last year. And even being in a drought this year and not planting or thinking about baling any hay this year I still have plenty of sorghum Sudan hay for this year and I guess if I wanted to sell some. So yea I stock piled the heck out of it.
