Subject: Re: Valor and JD 47XX Sprayers

West Texas
I'm not familiar with Valor but I do know about cleaning/not cleaning sprayers. Usually I don't pull the endcaps off as I have a bunch of them and their threaded, not quick couplers. (next sprayer will!!) I do dump strainers and clean screens etc. I rotate the nozzle bodies while spraying out commercial tank cleaner. All that said, I'm fixing to hit our peanuts with 2,4-DB-200 and will take every step possible to clean sprayer including spraying a tank of R-up and letting it set in the hot sun for a few hrs with the R-up and the spraying it out on fallow ground. We tend to have problems with certain 2,4-D products soaking into the hoses and poly etc. Then when you start spraying cotton it shows on ends where you first turn on the booms. We've gone to stainless tanks and booms but there are still some hoses for products to soak into.
