Edit: and I agree with both sides trying to persuade, but we have lost the ability to come to a logical agreement when someone wants to bring things in that are not true. And I agree that some from both sides do this, but not all. In a honest and real examination of things, I fully expect to find some of my thoughts or beliefs to be challenged and found to be in error. I also expect the other party to do the same. However, most of the left's talking points are at best half truths based on omitting pertinent facts, and when they won't admit to that fact and want to stand on that hill, the process is stopped in it's tracks, which I believe is in their favor and why they do it.
