H3f - 5/5/2022 18:30 Did you see a difference between the LEDs and CFL? I dislike the CFL's, but think the LED's may be allright. Think there is too much vibration where I tried the CFLs. This is more for a shop location, not in a hog barn.

My biggest dislike of the LED's is that to get a true 100 watt replacement bulb (one that actually puts out as much or more light than a 100w incandescent) you pay too much for them and they don't spread the light far enough.

LED's throw their light more down rather than out.    Hog buildings that were built prior to LED bulbs being the norm don't have the light fixtures close enough together for LED bulbs and you end up with dark areas between the well lit areas.

Like I said, when bulb replacement cost and electric are added together I don't believe that LED's or CFL's have saved me any money vs incandescents.   I believe they have cost more money.
