Subject: RE: Acres needed for 24 row Planter

Saronville NE
I hear ya Ray, I have field sizes ranging from 1 acre to 300 acres in 3/4 mile long rows. I have a customer with pushup terraces, and know its no fun. I try to do all the little odd shaped, fields first. I have several acre lots in a little bity town, to a couple 7 acre patches, and then up to some 15 acre fields, but after that it is all short 80s and quarters, plus the one big 300 acre field with 3/4 mile long rows, that is nice, damn you can get alot done in a day when you get to that field. So yes everybodys situation is different. But I still think there are alot of guys that are way overequipped for what they farm. In my eyes its nice to make machinery pay, not pay for machinery.
