Back in the 80's, interest rates of 16% definitely slowed down the building and remodeling industry. But we're a long way from those interest rate levels right now. The rising employment levels may force the Fed to raise interest rates even though prices are being driven by world events that are beyond our control. At least farmers are going into it with more cash than the last time.
