| What you don't get is the PRODUCTIVITY is rising faster than the employment pressures. If a fast food joint can serve up 10,000 USD of burgers on 3 people making 200 per day each vs 7 people making 125 per day last year than who is being more productive? Automation makes that happen and because those 3 people have more earnings they have more disposable income to buy that little extra. These automation happen in tight labor markets at a much higher rate during times of 4% unemployment then during times of 10% unemployment.
and YES 96% are employeed either way but the whole of a country is getting more things done, because of automation. Automation does not limit employment it improves productivity. | |
