I hear conflicting reports on this. Is there a study proving that vaccination reduces transmission? I assumed it did bc I've heard that you are contagious only if you have symptoms and since the Vax usually reduces symptoms that meant it also reduced transmission. If it does reduce transmission, how much is the improvement?
If you're carrying the virus, you can spread it, even if you're vaccinated.
But that's not the point. Fewer people getting sick, means fewer people spreading the virus.
When the R-value drops below 1, the virus is on it's way out. That's the purpose of the vaccine.
Unless you want to be a cynic and believe it's all lies, made up for who knows what purpose. |
