Schochoh Ky | Didn’t have insurance in the the day , but 1988 was a big drought here , remember we cut wheat and waited for rain to notill double crop beans . Never got it , it finally rained in early August and some people planted buckwheat. That was not very profitable, but we did harvest . Today , the pp would be nice in this situation, only seen it once in 40 years. Today with the later frosts , we’ve been having , most would plant through August 10 , unless insurance was good. I’ve seen the August beans yield zero to 45 , just depends on weather. | |
