I agree with you 100%, but I have also overhauled a motor twice. The reason being the motor had the cylinders scored from the guy not getting the oil channels clean after boiling the block. I always refer to these as the luck of of Dan. That was also done by a guy with a lot of experience. Things just happen though the oil tested high in silicates.
