Subject: RE: Anybody ever regret going from drill to row planter for beans

South Central MN
I went from 14" drill to 30" beans, same yields, or better, but that drill sucked... (Struggled in tilled dirt, could never have no-tilled.)

The planter has very high emergence, the drill needed a rain for everything to come up and would often drop them in clumps, leaving multi inch bare spots in the row between clumps. Not hard to see why my planter is doing better.

I would like to put them in 15" rows though, or even with a no-till drill but just not quite able to afford an upgrade.
