Nw Iowa
No regrets, narrow rows alittle more forgiving here. Only rung the bell a couple years with yields but helps with weed control, combine easier and we don’t roll our beans as the 15” rows have enough gauge wheels and tires that field is pretty level and clumps broke up. We feel we avg 1-2 bu. more up to 3-4 bu in right scenarios such as hail or late planting or drought. You can definitely control your population, planting depth much better. Other big advantage for us is that we plant soy and corn at same time. We have had a 1790 for some time and happy with job it does.
