I will add 2 comments, a planter will give you better depth control & spacing. Depends how much importance you put on those. I feel depth control is more important than spacing. Other is, until just the last few years my highest bean yield came back in the early '70s using conventionall beans in 36" rows.




Agree with Boog. Pretty much the reason I bought a 15 inch planter and why we don't drill beans. If you cover enough acres over the life of the planter it will pay for the upgrade
