Around here our drilled beans always outyield our planted so im.not sure what savings you will be occurring.

If you can do some side by sides if possible

Our drilled beans out yielded, or at least matched our planted beans the last 3 years. I have no proof, but I think it's genetics?

I know we bought a used 16-31 split row kinze planter last winter, and used it this past spring planting 15 inch row beans. It worked great, but our air drill on 10 inch spacing had the same yield with the same population. Our 15ft drill on 7.5 inch spacing had a marginally better yield, but also had a higher population to get there.
